Day 1: Arrive Lima
Welcome to Lima. On arrival at Lima Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our English speaking guide and assisted with a private transfer to your hotel. Settle in and begin soaking up the city’s coastal atmosphere as your journey through Peru unfolds.
Lima
Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru, is a city rich in history and culture, adorned with beautifully preserved architecture. Founded by conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535 and originally named the "City of Kings" in reference to the biblical Three Wise Men, Lima's name was later changed by Spanish colonialists. The heart of the city, Plaza Mayor, houses its most iconic landmarks, including the grand Government Palace, where visitors can witness the changing of the guard by the Húsares de Junín. The magnificent Cathedral, along with charming palaces and colonial balconies, adds to Lima’s timeless allure.

Day 2: In Lima

Afternoon in Lima
Discover the two faces of Lima on this enriching city tour. Begin in the modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where contemporary life reflects the city’s vibrant present. Continue into the UNESCO-listed Historic Center, where colonial architecture and history come alive. Pass landmarks such as the Museum of Italian Art, Palace of Justice, Plaza San Martín, and the Museum of Lima before exploring the Main Square on foot, surrounded by the Government Palace, Cathedral, and Archbishop’s Palace. The experience concludes with a visit to the iconic Convent of Santo Domingo, home to the relics of three revered Peruvian saints.

Day 3: Lima – Paracas - Ica
Visit to the Ballestas Islands
Today we set out from El Chaco pier, exploring its vibrant gastronomic scene before boarding the boat. We glimpse the mysterious El Candelabro, then sail to the Ballestas Islands, where desert meets sea. Among striking rock formations, sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and countless birds create a remarkable wildlife spectacle. This is shared tour
City Highlights and Pisco Route
Our exploration begins at Ica’s historic Main Square, remembered for Peru’s first cry of independence and marked by obelisks honoring the Nasca and Paracas cultures. We wander the city’s lively streets, blending the ancient and modern, before visiting the Lord of Luren temple, the heart of Ica’s Catholic traditions. The journey continues to famed vineyards and distilleries, where we taste pisco and learn about its production at El Catador and Tacama wineries, experiencing centuries-old winemaking traditions. Finally, we discover the natural wonder of Huacachina, a desert oasis where golden sands surround a shimmering lagoon, offering unforgettable views and photo opportunities.

Day 4: Ica - Lima
Morning at Leisure
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Lima, with time to relax at your hotel or explore the city at your own pace.
In the afternoon, depart by private transfer on a comfortable bus journey to Ica, leaving the capital behind as the landscape gradually changes along the way. After your time in Ica, a shared bus service will take you back to Lima, a scenic journey of approximately five hours, offering a relaxed and convenient return.

Day 5: Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley
After breakfast, we leave Lima and transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in the Andean highlands, you will be warmly assisted at Cusco Airport before continuing on a scenic drive to the Sacred Valley. For a smooth start to your experience, it is recommended to arrive in Cusco before 11:30 am.
Pachamanca lunch experience
Pachamanca, meaning “earth oven” in Quechua, is an ancient Andean cooking tradition where meats and vegetables are slow cooked over hot stones. Before lunch, you will learn about the techniques and ingredients behind this time honoured practice.
Ollantaytambo town and fortress walking experience
Today’s journey leads us to Ollantaytambo, one of the most significant sites in the Sacred Valley. We stroll through its narrow cobblestone streets before exploring the impressive archaeological complex. Climbing the ancient stone steps, we reach the Temple of the Sun, where towering monoliths reveal the Incas’ deep understanding of astronomy and masterful engineering. The terraces and fortress of Ollantaytambo stand as enduring proof of the Incas’ extraordinary skill in planning and construction.

Day 6: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

The journey begins with a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, a charming town nestled at the foot of the legendary Inca citadel. As the train winds through the Sacred Valley, enjoy breathtaking views of towering mountains, the flowing Vilcanota River, and traditional Andean villages—an ever-changing landscape that builds anticipation with every turn.
From Aguas Calientes, a short bus ride brings you face to face with one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Here, explore the ancient ruins and uncover the history, legends, and mysteries of this remarkable site, surrounded by dramatic scenery and endless photo opportunities. After absorbing the magical energy of Machu Picchu, return to Aguas Calientes for free time to enjoy lunch and wander through its quaint streets.

Day 7: Cusco - Lima
City sightseeing and nearby ruins
This half-day tour of Cusco invites us to explore the former capital of the Inca Empire, where Andean and Spanish influences coexist in remarkable harmony.
Our journey begins at San Pedro Market, Cusco’s oldest marketplace. We then visit the Koricancha, once the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire, dedicated to the Sun, with the Santo Domingo Convent built atop its foundations.
The tour continues to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, whose massive stone walls showcase the architectural genius of the Incas. Finally, we explore the ceremonial site of Kenko, where the sun, moon, and stars were once revered. This is a shared tour.
At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight from Cusco to Lima. On arrival, a convenient shuttle service is available to take you to your hotel. Lima Airport provides a complimentary shared shuttle every 30 minutes.
